Woodbridge

Woodbridge is a town in the eastern part of Prince William County in the Northern Virginia region. Just 20 miles outside the Nation’s Capitol. It is home to Potomac Mills Mall, one of the largest Outlet Malls in Northern Virginia and featuring more than 225 brand-name and manufacturer's outlets and a vast selection of eateries, too. More importantly Woodbridge is bordered by the Occoquan and Potomac rivers. A nature-lover’s and boaters paradise.

Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge is an ecological treasure of natural habitats that are rare or nearly extinct in Northern Virginia. Experience tidal shorelines, marshes, meadows, woods and all of the creatures that dwell on the banks of the Occoquan and Potomac Rivers.

Leesylvania State Park Leesylvania is nestled along the tidal shores of the historic Potomac River. Native Americans lived on this land for thousands of years. Capt. John Smith visited the area in 1608 on his voyage of discovery. Listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks, Leesylvania offers many land and water activities, including hiking, picnicking, fishing and boating. A universally accessible fishing pier, playground, boat launch, boat storage area, snack bar and store, visitor center and gift shop are available. A 20-station fitness trail and canoe and kayak rentals also are available.

Neabsco Creek Boardwalk is a 2.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Woodbridge, Virginia that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.

Pfitzner Stadium Built in 1984, the Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium is the home field for the minor league baseball team, The Potomac Nationals. Previously known only as the G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, the Northwest Federal name was added in 2011 when the field was renovated to meet Major League Baseball specifications. Pfitzner Stadium has an electronic scoreboard capable of showing images and video. Different than most fields, the dugouts are set at field level with only netting separating them from the players. In 2016 it was reported that there would be a new stadium for the Potomac Nationals. While there are some proposals to demolish the stadium after the Potomac Nationals depart, others seek to keep it as a sports themed complex that would offer BMX bike tracks and softball fields.
